- A glorious GEM C-1, B-1, easily one of the FINEST known examples, solidly in the Condition Census, and tied for second highest seen in the BN category at PCGS. A very highly lustrous example with satiny smooth surfaces. Bold, rolling cartwheel luster radiates along the evenly toned obverse and reverse, which show a gorgeous melange of chocolate brown with accents of blue and violet that are along the smooth surfaces. Sharply struck devices on both sides give this coin a great look. PCGS 8, NGC 3, CAC 3. Much cleaner and more lustrous than the Missouri Cabinet MS65 BN that sold for $6,325 in January 2014. the current PCGS Price Guide value is $6,000 and the CAC CPG value is listed at $7,500. Only 2 examples are graded higher at PCGS, and the only CAC example brought over $16,000 in the Missouri Cabinet sale. This is a great looking GEM coin that would be at home in ANY superb set of half cents or copper type coins. Cert. Number 38000698 PCGS # 1144.00
