FROM THE YOUNG-DAKOTA COLLECTION. Tied for second FINEST graded, this is a very high end, colorfully toned Uber-GEM. Superb surfaces have a moderate reflection that beams from under gold, russet, tan, and lilac toning. The fields and devices are devoid of any flaws of any kind. While perhaps the toning obscures some of the reflection, the eye appeal is bold and the technical quality is SUPERB. PCGS 29, NGC 17, CAC 22. There are four graded 67+ and just 2 finer in PR68. It was over four years ago when the last one sold, realizing $5,640 in the 2015 FUN auction; prior to that, one sold for $7,344 in February 2014. The current Collectors Universe value is $7,950.
