A bold GEM with brilliant mint RED surfaces that blaze all over. A bold luster radiates on both sides, amplifying the totally original RED surfaces. A few old specks testify to the originality. The devices are well struck and the surfaces are nice and smooth, free of any distracting marks or ticks. The eye appeal is very pleasing overall. This N-3b is from Catherine Bullowa's personal collection, sold by her in a small auction in December 2005, lot 376. Our consignor bought this GEM from that sale for $6,000. PCGS 18, NGC 6. The current PCGS value is listed at $4,250 and the two most recent APRs are $2,100 (November 2017) and $3,000 (June 2018). Just a single MS66 RD has been graded finer at PCGS and it has never sold in auction. This coin will delight any late date large cent collector. Cert. Number 83998604 PCGS # 1894
