- EGYPT. Silver Agricultural Award Medal, ND (1909). PCGS SPECIMEN-62 Gold Shield. Awarded and engraved to S. E. Boghos Pasha Nubar. Issued for the Agricultural Exposition in 1909. By Spink & Son. Obverse: Pastoral scene, with farm implements in foreground pyramids in the background; Reverse: Crowned coat-of-arms; sphinx to left and right; all set upon basis inscribed "S. E. BOGHOS PACHA NUBAR" and within wreath. Edge: AGR INDUST | 1909 - 2 TAUREAUX. Deeply toned, with a charming golden allure and exceptional luster. Boghos Nubar Pasha was the son of former Egyptian Prime Minister Nubar Pasha and served as chairman of the Armenian National Assembly. Like his father, he was active in the world of agriculture, raising cattle for show at expos. This medal was awarded to him for his two bulls in 1909, mirroring the medal which his father won just before his death a decade earlier. For this medal, please see our previous lot.
