- 1848-O Liberty Head Eagle. AU-50 (NGC). This is a suitably bold example of a poorly produced, conditionally challenging New Orleans Mint eagle. The surfaces are curiously glossy in texture, although bright golden-orange patina enhances the eye appeal.
