THE SOMMELIER COLLECTION A beautiful, undergraded 1853 double eagle housed in an OGH. Bold orange gold color is enlivened by a rich retained luster. This coin is clearly AU, with impeccably satiny smooth surfaces, devoid of serious contact and the wear is very minimal. The eye appeal is AMAZING for the assigned grade. PCGS 115, NGC 51, CAC GOLD 1. This coin sold in the 2013 FUN auction for $3,408. On a coin like this you have to ignore the price guides and APRs and just go with your gut.
