详细说明: THE LARRY SHAPIRO 3CS COLLECTION An exceptionally high end, high grade, beautiful SUPERB GEM specimen of this important Civil War date. Tied for FINEST KNOWN, the eye appeal and technical quality for this 1862 trime are off the charts. Really to call this coin's state of preservation SUPERB is an understatement and does it no justice. The surfaces are MARVELOUS in their cleanliness, the only thing you will find, mind you under careful scrutiny with a very strong loupe are a tiny planchet flake (mint made), and some die clashing (also mint made and very common on this denomination). The surfaces have a thick, satiny textured mint frost. The luster glows boldly from below a soft, totally original, sparkling iridescent gold, antique silver, teal, and sky blue tones. The visual allure of this Civil War date is incredible, and it is certainly deserving of its lofty assigned grade. It is a great coin, a prime contender for the FINEST of sets, and having helped build many of the finest sets, we have a history with this series! PCGS 26, NGC 35, CAC 18. There are three graded MS67+ and NONE FINER. The only one to sell realized $30,000 in May 2019 and the current Collectors Universe value is listed at $30,000.
