- SWITZERLAND. Bern. 40 Batzen, ND (1816). NGC AU-50. KM-181.2. "40 BZ" and "Cantonal shield" countermarks on a French Louis XVI 1761-R Ecu(KM-572). An excellent example of this normally well worn series. The countermarks, applied at the same time, are deeply impressed showing all of the fine details.
