A lovely GEM. Bright, brilliantly satiny lustrous surfaces yield to an arc of rainbow at the upper obverse and lower reverse rims. A few minor lines are noted on the cheek, suggestive of old album storage; otherwise the surfaces are relatively mark free, and very pleasing. A somewhat lower mintage date with 690,000 dimes minted, making this a key date among Philly mint issues. PCGS 24, NGC 10. The current PCGS value is $1,950. The most recent sold for $1,200 but this one has a better look. other examples have sold in the $1,300-$1,600 range. A 66 will cost more than double. A really neat coin for any set of Mint State Barber dimes! Cert. Number 35762524 PCGS # 4806
