From our January 2019 Regency Auction 30, where it was described as: "An impressive, very high end, and totally original SUPERB GEM 29-D half! This coin is magnificent! A strong, satiny luster provides a shimmering, warm glow on both sides. Delicate dove-rose and pale-lilac tones are gently dusted across the surfaces imparting a bold, original look. Sharply struck and very high end, we cannot find a single mark or line worthy of mention on either side. This coin has an amazing visual allure that will delight any collector." PCGS 87, NGC 17, CAC 28. There are 10 in MS66+ at PCGS and just five have ever graded higher at that service. There have been 8 appearances for PCGS MS66+ CAC examples in auction, averaging $10,010; the current PCGS Price Guide value is $11,500 and it jumps to $50,000 in MS67.
