- 1908 Liberty Head Nickel. Proof-66+ Cameo (NGC). CAC. A subtle golden shimmer accents the surfaces of this otherwise brilliant Gem Proof. The satiny texture of the devices is nicely contrasted by deeply reflective fields. With a limited mintage of 1,620 pieces, the 1908 is one of the scarcest Proof Liberty Head nickels in today's market. With the quality and eye appeal offered here this issue is rare. Just 7 coins have been graded finer by NGC in this category. It is important to note that no examples from this year have been graded with an Ultra/Deep Cameo designation by NGC or PCGS.
