THE CORONET COLLECTION This is a truly SUPERB Monroe! This is a commemorative type that does not typically come in such a high grade or with any kind of character. Indeed, its low relief details and often lackluster surfaces make this one of the most difficult to find nice. This one is beyond nice! Delicate teal and sky blue toning mingles with pastel lilac-gray. The colors are subtle but pop when the lustrous surfaces are rotated in a light. Well struck for the issue with the allegorical female figures that make up North and South America well defined. The eye appeal is sensational. Ex ANR, July 2005, lot 533; Heritage, August 2010, lot 5480; Heritage, October 2012, lot 5182; Heritage, May 2021, lot 93127. PCGS 124, NGC 71, CAC 26. Toss out the price guides and other APRs, this marvelous GEM has always sold for a strong price! The most recent appearance of this beauty, it brought $4,320.
