详细说明: Undated (Circa 1694) London Elephant Token. Hodder 1-A, W-12000. GOD PRESERVE LONDON. Diagonals in Center of Shield. VF-30 (PCGS). Uniformly microgranular deep golden-tan surfaces display small scattered marks throughout, the most noticeable of these a shallow dig above the pachyderm's tusks. Usually found on <em>thin </em>planchets, the variety offered here is scarce and desirable to today's collectors despite no solid evidence as to their time of creation and general purpose. Most consider the time of origin to be somewhere between 1672 and 1694, the latter date corresponding to that on the "Carolina" tokens dated 1694. The reverse diagonals are well-worn, with just the extreme right side visible to the naked eye. All told, a pleasing coin that should easily find a new home.
