详细说明: THE BOYLSTON COLLECTION, PART IV An exceptionally high grade survivor of this Civil War era half dollar. Brilliant, untoned silver surfaces gleam with a bold luster. This date is VERY RARE in GEM or finer grades, with strong demand for MS64 examples among collectors. The strike is strong and bold with full definition on both sides. The surfaces have a subtle glossy texture that pops in the light. The dies were clashed when this coin was struck and the obverse clash marks are seen in the fields. There are no serious marks or lines of any kind on either side of this near-GEM and the eye appeal is generally pleasing. PCGS 13, NGC 12. The most recent example sold in July 2021 for $4,720. The current Collectors Universe value is listed at $7,000. NGC has graded just four examples finer, MS67 finest.
