A Condition Census O-101, a Rarity-1 die pairing of this popular 19/8 overdate. Satiny, frosty brilliance glows vibrantly in the fields of this near-GEM quality example. Sharply struck with the under digit in the date clearly visible and all of Liberty's hair, drapery, and cap details are crisp, and the eagle is razor sharp in definition. Richly toned, the obverse has a pearlescent gray and gold hue, while the reverse has hints of amber and sky blue. The eye appeal is quite lovely. Ex FUN Auction, Heritage, January 2007, lot 4374; intermediaries; purchased privately by our consignor in January 2015. PCGS 5, NGC 9.
