详细说明: 1788 Vermont Copper. RR-17, Bressett 14-S, W-2125. Rarity-4. Bust Right. VF-25. 113.7 grains. Deep golden-brown with lighter golden high points. Perfectly centered on both sides with full dentils throughout where available. Surfaces mildly hard and glossy in appearance, and low magnification does little to alter the first impression. Straight-edge rim clip from 7 to 9 o'clock relative to the obverse,faint toned-over scratches at the center of the effigy's portrait only visible under low magnification, no serious marks assail the unaided eye, reverse rim affected by the clip from 9 to 11 o'clock, details sharp and crisp with nearly full shield details, some old and faint toned-over scratches at the center only visible under low magnification, no marks of consequence present otherwise. This specimen is about at the middle of the weight metrology for the date of 100 to 120 grains. Choice for the grade, and a Vermont copper that would do justice to any collection currently being formed. PCGS# 563. Provenance: From the Dan Freidus Collection.
