This is a truly marvelous 29-S dime. Wonderfully and totally original, this SUPERB GEM is in a fantastic and VERY RARE state of preservation. Possessing a bold mint luster and satiny smooth surfaces that really accentuate the mottled golden-olive, russet-tan patina. The devices are sharply struck up and both sides are devoid of any serious marks. With a mintage of 5,034,000 the 29-D is one of the most available dates of the 20s, but it is VERY RARE this fine. PCGS 59, NGC 5, CAC 20. There are just five in MS67+ FB and a mere three finer. This coin belongs in a SUPERB set. Selling several times in the last three years, ranging from $1,860 to $2,280, this coin will again sell in that range. Seems like a great value considering a PCGS/CAC MS68 sold for nearly $30,000 11 years ago!
