- MEXICO. 8 Escudos, 1789-MoFM. Charles IV (1788-1808). NGC MS-61. Fr-37; KM-157; Onza-1015. RAREtwo year type with the bust of Charles III, but in the name of Charles IV with ordinal "IV". We sold an example of this type in our January NYINC sale earlier this year but it was circulated and graffitied. This example, though a little softly struck as is frequently the case, lacks obnoxious flaws and presents abundant luscious yellow coloration.
