FROM THE R.S.D. COLLECTION. This is truly an AMAZING SUPERB GEM Proof 1909 quarter that is tied for FINEST graded at PCGS with just one other. The flashy, flawless mirrored fields and thickly frosted white devices stand out with a nearly DCAM contrast. Stunningly smooth fields are the epitome of deep, clear reflection that beam from all over. The untoned surfaces are SUPERB, technically, aesthetically, and high quality, looking as fresh today as it did 110 years ago when it came off the press. Only 650 Proofs were struck. PCGS 7, NGC 11, CAC 9. PCGS has graded just 2 in 67+ CAM and NONE FINER. Neither example has ever sold in auction, but a non-CAC PR67 CAM sold for $11,700 in the 2018 FUN auction. We think the current Collectors Universe value of $6,150 is way too low! We expect this coin to sell for more than that for sure. Cert. Number 25648161 PCGS # 85695
