- 1876 Indian Cent. MS-65 RD (PCGS). CAC. OGH. A frosty and sharply struck example with fully original color on both sides. The obverse features warm deep rose, while the reverse exhibits a more vivid reddish-orange hue. The Mint redeemed 5,932,723 bronze cents in 1876, reissuing 5,599,500 examples to meet much of the commercial demand that year. As a result, only 7,944,000 new coins were produced from 1876-dated dies, this being one of the lower mintage circulation strike issues of its era.
