FROM THE R.S.D. COLLECTION. A simply gorgeous, PQ GEM example of this Proof quarter, one of only 380 struck. Deeply reflective silver surfaces beam with bold watery mirrors. The devices show a rich, thick frost, especially on Liberty's neck and cheek. Pale blue and gold patina caresses the rims, most notably on the reverse. The eye appeal is quite nice and very high end for the assigned grade. Only 380 were struck. PCGS 11, NGC 11, CAC 16. PCGS has graded 6 in PR66+ CAM and clearly that number must include duplication in an attempt to get a 67 grade. The most recent was an untoned example we sold in March 2019 for $7,638. These are rarely ever seen in auction, and this one should be very hotly pursued by Proof Barber collectors. An important opportunity not to be missed! Cert. Number 35812793 PCGS # 85700
