A borderline SUPERB GEM example that boasts an amazing blast white, untoned gleam. A booming reflectivity in the fields is deep and offers a bold clarity. The frosty devices are fully struck and crisp, providing a vivid white contrast to the reflective depths of the mirrored fields. Were it not for a tiny line in the obverse field, this coin would have likely graded PR67 CAM. The eye appeal is exceptional! Only 813 Proofs were struck. PCGS 26, NGC 9, CAC 9. There are just 2 in PR66+ CAM, neither of which have ever sold in auction. The comps are: A PCGS PR66 CAM CAC that sold in our March 2019 Regency Auction and a PCGS PR67 CAM sold in our May 2018 Regency Auction for $5,640. The current Collectors Universe value is listed at $3,450 and a GEM of this quality and eye appeal should sell for more.
