A beautifully toned and exceptionally lustrous Boone half! One of the lower mintages in the series, with only 5,005 struck. Rich gold, olive, orange, and tan toning has a dappled look on both sides, imparting a wonderful eye appeal. Not only is the eye appeal SUPERB, but this coin is among the four FINEST graded examples and it is no question as to why! PCGS 37, NGC 37, CAC 17. PCGS and NGC has each graded only 3 in MS67+, and each has a sole MS68 as finest graded. This does NOT appear to be the example that sold in March this year for $5,640. Keep in mind the PCGS MS68 has never sold in auction, giving this SUPERB GEM the honors of being the finest available on the market.
