- FROM THE BOYLSTON COLLECTION PART III One of Anthony Paquet's famous half dollar Patterns. This Seated Liberty design was also employed as a concept for a double eagle design. Liberty sits upright one hand holding up a union shield, the other a fasces. This design embodies a strong national bearing, as does the perched eagle reverse design, with ribbon inscribed E PLURIBUS UNUM, seen on the J-222 rarity offered in the previous lot. Listed as Rarity-6, struck in silver with a reeded edge. A brilliant intensity of the reflective untoned mirrors are a delight to behold. Virtually untoned the surfaces are clean and free from distractions, save for the mint made die polish lines. The design elements are sharply impressed and nicely frosted, contrasting nicely against the fields. The eye appeal is bold. PCGS 1, NGC 1, CAC 1. The PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $5,000. What a fantastic type that will delight anyone starting a pattern collection or an advanced Seated Liberty half dollar collection. Cert. Number 42384053 PCGS # 388517
