- 1828 Capped Bust Half Dollar. O-113. Rarity-3. Square Base 2, Small 8, Small Letters. AU-58 (PCGS). OGH. This minimally worn, smooth-looking example has the eye appeal of a Mint State rating. Overall sharp definition is noted for both sides, as is a base of warm golden-rose patina. We also see richer steel-blue overtones around the reverse periphery and, to a much lesser extent, near the obverse border.
