- GREAT BRITAIN. Angel, ND (1584-86). Elizabeth I (1558-1603). PCGS MS-62 Gold Shield. 5.15 gms. S-2531; North-2005; Fr-211. Escallop mint mark. Sixth issue where there was a slight increase in fineness from 0.994 to 0.995 "Fine" gold. Decent strike with complete legends, though portions are slightly muddled. An attractive example with fierce sunset orange peripheral tone. Estimate: $4,000 - $6,000.
