Ex Vanderbilt Collection. Just under the top of the pop is this glorious GEM 1900-S dollar. Just four coins have been graded finer, making this a contender for a great Morgan dollar set. This amazing GEM has a great look imparted by a resplendent, brilliant luster. Sharply struck, with crisply defined details in the devices, even the hair curls are fully rendered. This must have been the final coin in a roll, as the reverse has a ring of peripheral tone. The eye appeal is gorgeous. PCGS 144, NGC 24, CAC 33. PCGS has graded just 17 in MS66+. The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $6,500 and the last two sold for $6,350 and $7,050. We think this GEM will delight even the pickiest of collectors.
