Obverse: CAROLVS I D G MAG BRITAN FRAN ET HIB REX, crowned and draped bust right, wearing elaborate collar; Reverse: DONEC PAX REDDITA TERRIS, armored arm emerging leftward from the clouds wielding a sword; in two lines in exergue, CORON 2 FEBRV / 1626. From the skillful hand of Nicholas Briot, this attractive issue presents an alluring cabinet tone and only gentle handling upon the high points.
