详细说明: 1870 Seated Liberty Quarter. Proof-67 (NGC). CAC. OH. As with all proof Seated Quarters from the 1870s, the 1870 is a scarcer issue of its type that is more elusive in the market than the original mintage (1,000 pieces) might imply. The lovely Superb Gem we offer here is tied for Condition Census #1, being one of the three finest-certified survivors known to PCGS and NGC. The obverse is target toned in charcoal, cobalt-blue and olive-orange iridescence that yields to a swirl of brilliance in the center. On the reverse, however, we note an even endowment of iridescent olive-charcoal patina. Fully impressed from the dies, with shimmering reflectivity shining forth nicely as the surfaces rotate under a light. There is nary a distracting blemish to report, and the validity of the assigned grade is assured in our minds. A beautiful piece.
