详细说明: An absolutely gorgeous, fully PROOFLIKE near-GEM Capped Bust quarter! Uncommon in this state of preservation, but excessively RARE when looking like this! Indeed, at first glance you would think this was a Gem Cameo Proof! The fields are blazing, struck from freshly prepared dies, thus the brilliant reflection. Sharply struck, the devices are fully frosted and crisply defined, clearly from a forceful and exacting blow from the dies. We note some minor die lines and lint marks are evidence of the care taken to prepare the dies before striking. A wonderful golden halo frames both sides, making imparting a truly AMAZING look! This quarter is a B-5, which is a somewhat scarce variety. The 1s in the date are tall, repunched over short 1s. PCGS 14, NGC 62 (all types), CAC 5. Go ahead and disregard all recent APRs and Price Guide values. This coin is FRESH to the market, last appearing in the 2003 Central States auction, which even way back then sold for an incredibly strong $8,050. A coin like this does not appear with frequency.
