GREAT BRITAIN. George I Coronation Silver Medal, 1714. PCGS SPECIMEN-58 Gold Shield. Eimer-470; MI-424/9. By J. Croker. Commemorating his coronation. Obverse: Laureate, draped, and armored bust right; Reverse: George seated right on throne, holding scepter and orb, and being crowned by Britannia standing to right. An enchanting example of the type, with a great deal of underlying luster remaining along with a handsome cobalt nature near the peripheries. Estimate: $200 - $300.
