详细说明: Wow was PCGS showing no mercy the day this GEM came through the grading room! While we cannot guarantee that it will upgrade, if all examples were graded like this one, the series would be much stronger right now. Exceptional quality fields show off smooth, deeply reflective, shimmering watery mirrors. Both sides are bathed in a wonderful dappled iridescent patina; shades of olive, russet, slate, and gold really pop when a light hits the flashy mirrors. Adding to the outstanding look are the razor sharp devices that are fully frosted and stand out with full cameo contrast. The eye appeal is truly wonderful. Only 500 Proofs were struck from this important Civil War year. PCGS 18, NGC 10, CAC 9. This is the only 64+ CAM graded at either service. The last regular PCGS PR64 CAM CAC brought $3,055 in our December 2017 Regency Auction, and the last PCGS PR65 CAM CAC sold back in April 2011. Based on those numbers, the current Collectors Universe value of $2,750 seems too cheap to us. This is a great coin for any Civil War set or collection of high quality Proof Seated Liberty quarters.
