Circa 1884 1st Regiment Infantry National Guard of Pennsylvania Armory Dedication medal. Musante GW-1015, Baker-377. Copper, Bronzed. MS-66 (PCGS). 32 mm. Beautiful deep mahogany brown with slight mottling in the fields seen under magnification. Struck on a somewhat thicker flan. Deeply mirrored fields and excellent eye appeal. One extremely superficial spot is noted against Washington’s brow. Provenance: Ex William Spohn Baker Collection, to the Historical Society of Pennsylvania by bequest, November 15, 1897.
