THE LARRY SHAPIRO 3CS COLLECTION An incredible, wonderful, totally ORIGINAL GEM Proof 1860 three cent silver. The eye appeal is exceptional in every way! Highly reflective watery mirrors are coated by a rich melange of blues, golds, and tangerine-rose that are a delight to behold, especially on the reverse. The surfaces show a few tiny ticks that preclude an even loftier grade, but do not detract from the outstanding visual allure of this impeccably preserved GEM. Only 1,000 Proofs were struck. PCGS 11, NGC 10, CAC 5. This is the ONLY PR65+ graded at either services, and PCGS has graded just five coins higher. The PCGS Price Guide value is $7,500 and keep in mind if you can find a PCGS/CAC PR66, it will likely cost into the five figures. This coin seems a good value. Good luck. Cert.
