L&M-79; K-668; KM-Y-329.6; WS-0183-14. Variety with T-like stroke in "nien". Full of cartwheel elegance and eminent appeal, this nearly-Choice specimen provides intense eye appeal, with a bit of a die clash even apparent near the central portions of the reverse. In particular, the collar of Yuan Shih-kai is represented in a mirror image of that upon the obverse.

This lot was manufactured in China and was sourced from outside the United States for this auction after the tariffs were enacted. On July 27, 2022, the United States enacted new tariffs on collector’s items of Russian Federation or Republic of Belarus origin, including bullion and numismatic coins and banknotes. This lot was manufactured in the Russian Federation or the Republic of Belarus and was sourced from outside the United States for this auction after the tariffs were enacted. Accordingly, any client who wishes to take delivery of this item within the United States will be subject to a 35% import tariff plus a processing fee of 0.3464% (minimum $27.75 / maximum $538.40), at time of printing and subject to change.
