- 1795 Talbot, Allum & Lee Cent. Fuld-1, W-8620. Rarity-1. Lettered Edge: WE PROMISE TO PAY THE BEARER ONE CENT. MS-65 BN (PCGS). 144.8 grains. Breathtakingly beautiful surfaces are smooth in hand with a soft satin texture. Predominantly toned in charming golden-brown, direct lighting calls forth remnants of original rose-orange color that are most pronounced in the center of the reverse. Sharply to fully struck throughout with expert surface preservation and eye appeal to spare. This is the most frequently encountered variety of the Talbot, Allum & Lee cent, the present example ideal for inclusion in a high grade Mint State type set. Provenance: From the Greenway Collection.
