- Lot 126 1807/6 S-273 R1 Overdate Large 7 over 6. PCGS graded MS-62 Brown. CAC.Lustrous chocolate brown and steel with a half-moon of slightly darker olive brown toning in the field before the face. Puffs of lighter brown toning are scattered over the reverse. The only notable mark is a dull diagonal nick under the eye. Has the eye appeal of a mint state cent but there is a hint of rub on the highest points of the devices. LDS, Breen state IV late, with clearly defined rim cud breaks over STA extending halfway to the adjacent D. Graded AU55 net AU50 in the Noyes census, his photos #34259 and #63343 (same coin, 2 photos). Not seen by Bland. Our grade is AU55.The attribution and Doug Bird Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label.
