Ranked near the top of the Population, this totally original GEM is tied for second HIGHEST graded for the date. While generally considered a "common" or "generic" date in the series, in MS65 the date becomes scarce and it is truly RARE so fine with just seven in MS66+ as currently highest graded. A frosty, satin-like sheen graces both sides highlighting the rich, yellow-gold coloration. The surfaces are unconserved and unmolested, freshly graded from a small original holding that came to light in the Midwest earlier in 2022. The excellent eye appeal is uncompromised by any of the microscopic ticks that can be seen with the aid of a strong glass on the reverse and noted here for the sake of full disclosure. As fresh as can be, and a lovely MS66 for any collector of GEM gold. PCGS 37, NGC 51. The most recent example to sell in auction brought $9,694 in our Regency Auction 55. Prior to that, one sold for $9,600 in April 2022. The current Collectors Universe value is listed at $17,500 and it jumps to $30,000 in MS66+ with NONE GRADED MS67 or finer. An ideal candidate for any Premium GEM 20th century gold type set or set of GEM $10 Indians. Cert. Number 45892795 PCGS # 8882
