THE CORINTH COLLECTION A wonderful GEM RED large cent. Graded ages ago and housed in an old NGC "fatty" holder, this coin is true quality for the grade. Vivid red luster swirls boldly around both sides. The strike is crisp, with razor sharp definition on both obverse and reverse and the surfaces are remarkably free of marks. Indeed, the only thing we will mention for full disclosure are some microscopic carbon flecks that attest to the absolute originality and unmolested status of this GEM. This is a very pleasing example for the type and will delight any EAC collector. PCGS 76, NGC 38, CAC 10. No NGC/CAC example has ever sold in auction, but we sold a PCGS MS65 RD CAC for $4,113 in December 2021. The current CAC CPG value is $3,750 and the Collectors Universe value is listed at $4,600.
