1899 Liberty Half Eagle. MS-67 (NGC). A frosty honey gold half eagle with a bold strike, lively olive iridescence, and exceptional eye appeal, a coin that upholds the parameters of this important grade. Readily available to those with an interest in grades up to and including MS-66 (over 100 pieces certified by NGC), but there the population of certified examples drops precipitously, see below. If you mean to have an enticing gem specimen of the date or design type, you will be hard-pressed to better the quality offered here; this half eagle is certainly worth your attention when the bidding begins.
