- 1869 Octagonal Liberty quarter BG-712 NGC MS-66 Big Sky Consignment. BG-712 (R.4), third period, Frontier & Company. A crudely obese version of Liberty lacks any lettering on the coronet encircled by nine stars on the obverse. No less charmingly coarse and clumsy on the reverse, the "1/4" denomination can scarcely be made out and none of the letters in DOLLAR line up well with each other. A much scarcer example with gorgeous luster and deeply saturated vintage toning on the reverse.
