These late date silver Washington quarters were struck in generous numbers, and are known in Mint State as the roll saving craze was peaking at the time this coin was struck. However many Mint State rolls were saved, there are precious few that have been graded in SUPERB GEM grades, and in MS67+ as seen here, they are incredibly RARE. There is just a single MS68 graded finer at NGC. This exceptional coin has attractive rainbow iridescent toning encircling the brilliant silver center of the obverse. Rich blue, green, and peach-rose-gold meld to a dusting of apricot-rose and sky-blue that is enlivened by a stunning mint brilliance. WOW, the eye appeal is amazing PCGS 6, NGC 11. No NGC coin has sold in auction. This coin has a very similar look to the PCGS-graded example we sold in August 2020 for $11,456. The current Collectors Universe value is listed at $26,500. Worthy a world class set. Good luck. Cert. Number 5844335-004 PCGS # 5872.00
