- 1864 Liberty Seated Dime. Proof-65 (PCGS). This richly toned Gem is dressed in dominant steel-gray and brassy-olive patina. Direct lighting, however, calls forth vivid undertones of powder blue, pale gold and pinkish-apricot that make a lovely impression on the eye. Fully struck, as befits the method of manufacture, with undeniable Gem quality. Proof mintage: 470 pieces. Provenance: From our ANA Auction of August 2018, lot 3067.
