详细说明: FROM THE M & S PETTY COLLECTION Tied for second FINEST graded of this low mintage date. Only 15,000 were struck using a single pair of dies. There is just a single coin graded finer, a PCGS MS66. An undulating brilliance glows boldly on both sides of this near-GEM caliber 1848 Seated Liberty dollar. The satiny lustrous surfaces bring the iridescent overlay of toning. Shades of lilac-slate, soft tangerine-gold, pastel pink, olive-tan, and golden-russet blend together beautifully on both obverse and reverse. A strong glass reveals some minor ticks and contact marks, all of which are hidden under the patina. Sharply struck devices add to the bold visual allure.
