GERMANY. Adolf Hitler 50th Birthday Silver Medal, ND (1939). Berlin Mint. PCGS SPECIMEN-64 Gold Shield. 60 mm. Colbert-Hyder 117. By Krischker. Obverse: Bust of Hitler, left; Reverse: City Arms of Braunau am Inn (Hitler's birth place), conjoined with a swastika, and a 9-line inscription. Edge: 835 PR MUNZE BERLIN. This is the larger, and scarcer, of the two formats of this medal. An attractively preserved example with few instances of handling and pearly-gray tone. Estimate: $700 - $1,000.
