1919-S Buffalo Nickel. MS-64 (NGC). This richly toned nickel exhibits bronze peripheral toning that blends with more vivid antique gold patina in the centers. Central striking detail is bold, and that around the peripheries only marginally less so. Soft satin luster is seen throughout. A heavily circulated issue, the 1919-S is scarce to rare in all grades above VF. Given the paucity of Gems, this well produced and preserved MS-64 is sure to appeal to astute Buffalo nickel enthusiasts. PCGS# 3943. NGC ID: 22RN.
