详细说明: 1895 Liberty Quarter Eagle. Proof-64 UC (NGC). Exceptional contrast between the mirrored fields and brightly frosted devices produces the desirable Ultra Cameo contrast. In technical terms these are the most desirable of the Quarter Eagle Proofs, as they boast the greatest visual appeal. Close to the Gem level and would easily surpass that were it not for a couple of small nicks in the field below Liberty's hair bun. Thankfully, Liberty's cheek and neck are virtually undisturbed and hairlines are virtually non-existent here with one or two faint random ones as compared with far more busy surfaces normally encountered even at this grade. Mintage for the year was a paltry 119 pieces, and for collectors this period produced the highest number of Ultra Cameo coins as the Philadelphia Mint perfected their striking techniques for these Proofs. An exceptional and appealing coin for the connoisseur.
