This is a VERY choice example of a date that typically comes dull and crusty. Deep mirrors beam boldly from all over. The mirrors have strong clarity and cleanliness. A moderate mix of deep lavender/pale purple/green/gold/blue colors (all original) evenly cover both sides. There actually is some contrast that you don't have to imagine. Miss Liberty and the details are frosted and well struck. The eye appeal is excellent! Only 600 were minted. PCGS 60, NGC 37, CAC 10. The last PCGS CAC piece to sell in auction brought $2,150 in July 2018. The current PCGS Price Guide value is $1,950. Do not be fooled by the pops, this is a difficult date and grade to find.
