1887 Liberty Quarter Eagle. Proof-63 Cameo (NGC). Sharp frosty motifs and glittering fields; the latter&nbsp;exhibit the Philadelphia Mint's&nbsp;celebrated orange-peel texture. Mostly brilliant surfaces with hints of apricot and splashes of deeper iridescence. The <em>Guide Book</em> lists a proof mintage of 122 pieces, but it's doubtful that more than half that many could be accounted for today.
