This SUPERB 1890 quarter has a classic, old collection look to it! Richly toned in gold hues on the obverse and the reverse has a wonderful blend of cobalt blue and rich tangerine-amber gold throughout, accenting the razor sharp devices. A bold, brilliant luster brings life to the essentially pristine surfaces and accents the wonderful original colors that grace both sides. The eye appeal is strong for sure. Extremely rare any finer. PCGS 26, NGC 21. The most recent sold in October 2020 for $2,400, but prior to that, there hadn't been one sold since 2015! Clearly these don't appear on the market with any frequency. The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $6,000. With just a half dozen graded finer this coin is bound for any carefully selected type or date set. Take a careful look at this one and bid accordingly. We think this coin will see very strong bidding. Cert. Number 33118862 PCGS # 5523.00
